What messages RentBunny sends, on which channels, who else can contact you through the service, and how to stop each kind.
Effective date: Not yet published
This policy explains what messages RentBunny sends you, which channels we use, who else may contact you through the service, and how to stop each kind of message. Today you are asked to agree to it in one place: when you request a tour. Creating an account and submitting an application are governed by the Terms and Privacy Policy below; if we add this policy to either consent, it will be named there before you agree.
Agreeing to this policy when you request a tour lets us — and the manager of that listing — send you messages about that request. It is not agreement to marketing. We do not run marketing email today, and if we introduce it you will be asked to opt in separately.
How we handle the personal information behind those messages is covered by our Privacy Policy; your broader use of the service is covered by our Terms of Service.
Every message we send today is transactional — tied to something you started:
We do not currently send marketing: no promotions, no product newsletters, and no listing or saved-search alerts. If we start, it will be a separate opt-in and this policy will say so before the first message goes out.
Transactional messages tied to an active tour, application, or lease cannot be switched off individually — we cannot run a tour without sending you the details of it. To stop them, withdraw the tour or application from your account, or close your account. If you booked a tour before 17 August 2026, when an account was not yet required, use the contact route below (Story 87.3 — same reasoning as the third bullet under How to opt out).
We do not sell your contact details, and we do not pass them to third-party advertisers.
A manager's own messages are sent under their own practices, and turning a RentBunny notification category off does not by itself stop them. Ask the manager directly, or use the contact route below and we will pass the request on.
Every message we send today is triggered by an event, not by a schedule. You hear from us when something you started changes — typically a handful of messages per tour or application, and nothing at all when nothing is in flight.
There is no recurring send today: no digest, no newsletter, no periodic listing alert. Online rent payment is not enabled; when it is, a monthly invoice will arrive on your lease's billing cycle and this section will say so before the first one is sent.
There is no marketing to unsubscribe from — see above. What you can control is which categories reach you, and on which channel.
A message already queued when you make the change may still arrive shortly after.
If and when SMS is enabled: message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and consent to receive texts is never a condition of booking a tour, applying for a home, or renting one. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
We may update this policy as the service changes — for example when a new channel is turned on. Material changes are announced before they take effect, and the effective date above is updated.
Questions about the messages you receive, or a request to stop them, can be sent through our contact form.
